I finally finished my Forge World Phantom Titan for my Craftworld Biel-Tan / Ynn'eal-Tan. I started assembling and painting this model in 2012 shortly after it's release and it took more than 350 hours of work in total. The motivation to finish this model had been very low. But Warhammer Fest came to Düsseldorf and I got it done for the show and won bronce!

The other side of the knee with the rune of Biel-Tan. Also painted in NMM (non-metallic-metal) with a drop-shadow to give it more defition and elevation.
I painted a rune on the side of the Phantom Titan's knee. It's the rune of Ynnead which is the Aeldari god of the dead. Painted in NMM gold (non-metallic-metal) with a fake drop shadow to give it a 3d effect.
The cockpit of the Eldar Phantom Titan with the pilot seat. I kept the armour green as the rest of the titan to fit the Craftworld. The surrounding shall reflect bright wood or wraithbone. With contrasting deep orange gems.
Because a simple vane pattern wasn't popping enough. I think adding a fake 3D effect helped massively to give it an impressive look.
I decided that going for just plain white holofins would be a too boring waste compared to the rest of the detailled body of the Phantom Titan and thus have been exprimenting with a thorns patter which would be subtle enough to still give them a white feeling.
Finally finished this Leviathan Dreadnought in awesome Imperial Fists yellow! That thing is a monster. I wasn't aware of how big this beast actually is because I was painting the parts separately. But boy, it is huge. Equipped with Cyclonic Melta Lance and Siege Claw.
I heard ya like big guns? :D I still need to apply weathering to the black areas, so lots of scratching to do and that little bump right in the middle
It's kind of sad that all the interior details of this Leviathan will not be visible when the weapon-arms will get attached. At least it's magnetised!
Just a minor update on some heavy support Leviathan Dreadnought for my Imperial Fists Space Marine chapter. Currently I'm done with the legs, hips, armour plates and backpacks. Upper body interior mechanics still need to be painted and the weapons. There's light at the end of the tunnel.
I really gotta get forward with my Swordwind army and that means I need some heavy hitting long-range-support. The Eldar Lynx is a pretty solid choice for that and that allowed me to practice some more green Biel-Tan marble-pattern texturing. Freehands still missing as this is heavy work in progress and far from finished.
I've finished with the green marble pattern and white panels for my second Nightwing. Next up will be freehand thorns with drop shadows and Craftworld specific iconography.
Many people asked me how I do my green marble pattern for my Biel-Tan / Ynn'eal tan schema, so I made a tutorial.
The 2nd Nightwing to support my Ynnari force. The upper side will be typical Biel-Tan / Ynn'eal-Tan green and thorns.
It feels like I am painting this thing for ages. But I wanted something spectacular. So I improved my Ynn'eal-Tan / Biel-Tan color schema even more with marble patterns, drop-shadows and freehands.
I started painting this in 2005, but added more thorns and a proper base much later. I won a local GW painting compo with it.
