Game-Coding/minis - Forge World Eldar Phantom Titan

I finally finished my Forge World Phantom Titan for my Craftworld Biel-Tan / Ynn'eal-Tan. I started assembling and painting this model in 2012 shortly after it's release and it took more than 350 hours of work in total. The motivation to finish this model had been very low. But Warhammer Fest came to Düsseldorf and I got it done for the show and won bronce!

Eldar Phantom Titan knee rune

The other side of the knee with the rune of Biel-Tan. Also painted in NMM (non-metallic-metal) with a drop-shadow to give it more defition and elevation.

Eldar Phantom Titan - knee with rune of Ynnead

I painted a rune on the side of the Phantom Titan's knee. It's the rune of Ynnead which is the Aeldari god of the dead. Painted in NMM gold (non-metallic-metal) with a fake drop shadow to give it a 3d effect.

Eldar Phantom Titan pilot and cockpit

The cockpit of the Eldar Phantom Titan with the pilot seat. I kept the armour green as the rest of the titan to fit the Craftworld. The surrounding shall reflect bright wood or wraithbone. With contrasting deep orange gems.

Eldar Phantom Titan holofins 3D

Because a simple vane pattern wasn't popping enough. I think adding a fake 3D effect helped massively to give it an impressive look.

Eldar Phantom Titan holofins

I decided that going for just plain white holofins would be a too boring waste compared to the rest of the detailled body of the Phantom Titan and thus have been exprimenting with a thorns patter which would be subtle enough to still give them a white feeling.

Green Biel-Tan marble pattern

Many people asked me how I do my green marble pattern for my Biel-Tan / Ynn'eal tan schema, so I made a tutorial.

It feels like I am painting this thing for ages. But I wanted something spectacular. So I improved my Ynn'eal-Tan / Biel-Tan color schema even more with marble patterns, drop-shadows and freehands.
